Vegas Vacation

Well, we are back from Las Vegas and we had a great time! All 3 kids were really well behaved and had a lot of first time experiences. There are a lot of pictures so consider yourself warned. Devin drove up Wednesday morning for work, this time he took my truck instead of his work truck. When the kids questioned why, we just told them his truck had something wrong with it and they believed that. Wednesday night we called and got Devin on speaker phone and we told the kids together what the plan was for our surprise vacation, that the 4 of us would be flying up to be with daddy the next morning and that we would be spending a few days there with him, they were beyond excited about it. Ryleigh was mostly concerned about having to go to the bathroom while on the plane, I assured her that there was a bathroom on the plane if she needed it but that the flight wasn't even an hour long and that she would probably be okay. She eventually calmed down and then was really excited about the trip.
Thursday morning they both woke up easy and in good moods, which was awesome. They were both really good helpers the whole way through the airport. When we got to Security the guy there asked them a bunch of questions like "who is this lady your are traveling with?" and "do you ever call her by something else?" They both looked at me like who is this guy and I had to tell them just to answer the questions that I would tell them why later. Then as we were waiting to walk through the checkpoint an old lady behind me asked if she could cut in front of me because she was in a hurry. I guess she thought that we were going to take forever getting through with the 3 kids and all. I let her go and we ended up waiting on her, before and after, while she loaded and unloaded all her crap. Ryleigh and Liam were great at helping me.

When we got off the plane Liam saw his first slot machine and asked to "play a game" I talked to them about gambling and how we don't do it on our way out of there and they never asked again the entire trip. Devin picked us up at the airport, funny thing was when we got to our truck Meghan had the funniest look on her face. Almost as if she was thinking "well that was a round about way to get to our truck!" When we got to the Hotel they immediately wanted to go swimming, so that's what we did. Again Ryleigh and Liam being big helpers.

When Devin got back from work he took Ryleigh and Liam bowling in the hotel. Meghan and I took a nap, when they got back he laid down with Meg and I took the kids down to the pool again. At night we pretty much had the pool to ourselves.
Devin couldn't find Meghan's swimsuit, that is why she is just in her swim diaper.

This is the hot tub. It had an island in the middle of it, Liam liked to climb on it.

This little pool was just about the right temp, we spent most of our time there. It had a little fountain in the middle of it, Meghan and Liam liked playing in it.

Friday we woke up, walked down to the Deli and got bagels for breakfast. Went back to our room and went swimming again. At about lunch time we went and watched a movie, again in the hotel. They wanted to charge me for Meghan so I called Devin, he left work and came and picked her up, we went and watched "Where the wild things are." Both kids were crying by the end of it and Liam reached over and said "this movie is tearing my heart out." None of us were expecting it to be sad.

That night we went to the strip. We started at the Mirage and watched a Volcano show they had here are some pictures from that.

Then we made our way down to the Bellagio to watch the water show. I had to stop and take this picture, thought the Eiffel tower looked pretty cool at night!

Daddy and Megs

Finally it started! All 3 kids loved it, we stayed and watched it again.

Meghan just kept saying "Whoa!" with this look on her face.

This was a fun view of the water show from the Flamingo Hotel.

We stopped and watched the Volcano show again on our way back to the truck! We were on the opposite side of it this time. You can really feel the heat from that fire!

Saturday morning we woke up and got ready and then headed down to the buffet in the hotel. I was so annoyed with the buffet. They charged us for Ryleigh (8 yrs. old) as an adult and they even charged for Meghan (20 months), who only ate 1/2 a pancake and some yogurt. Good thing we had 2 coupons and the girl was nice enough to give us 2 of the adult ones for free, we would have walked away if she hadn't. I told the kids eat or waste as much as they wanted.
After we checked out of the Hotel we headed to the strip again, we wanted to see the Lion habitat at MGM Grand and go to M & M World.

After M & M World we drove up to Circus Circus, they have an indoor Amusement Park called Adventuredome. Ryleigh and Liam loved it there, we wished we would have had more time and money to spend there, if we ever go back we will plan a day there.
I stayed outside of it and sat with Meghan who was asleep so there aren't any pictures from that.
All in all it was a great trip, we did a lot of neat things, and most importantly we were all together building memories.
