3rd Annual Eagar Reunion

This past weekend was our 3rd annual Eagar Reunion. It was held up at Sherwood Forest which is located between Eagar and Alpine in the White Mountains! It is some of the prettiest country you will see in Arizona.
On the way up just outside of Show Low we hit a really bad hail storm. It was so loud hitting our truck we couldn't even talk to each other because we couldn't hear what the other was saying.

It's kind of hard to see, but if you click on this picture it will make it bigger. All the white stuff on the shoulder of the highway is hail.

We started off Saturday morning with a Flag raising ceremony. My cousin's husband Cory and his son Ryan brought their scout uniforms and made it official. This is the flag that was given to Grandma Eagar when my Grandpa passed away. My Grandpa was a War Veteran and the Army sent a couple of soldiers to his graveside service and they played a trumpet salute and presented this flag. This flag has flown over our little reunion for the last 3 years. Seems appropriate!

Uncle Reuben giving the low down of the activities for the day which included volleyball, relay races, horseback riding, baseball and we also found time to just relax.

Ryleigh and Meghan just being cute!

This is the Kitchen, it's actually an old Army kitchen that is well equipped to cook anything you want. There are 2 stoves, a microwave, and a walk in refrigerator. It's pretty cool.

I went to peek in on Meghan and Devin taking a nap and found that they had already woke up and were playing around. Meghan was a real trooper in that tent. Every time she woke up in there she had the funniest look on her face, like she was trying to figure out what was going on.

I'm really not showing favoritism, it's just that Meghan was the only one around us most the time. Pretty much the only time we saw the other 2 was at meal time.

Happy Girl!

Kylie and Liam had lots of fun playing in the sand box.

What is a reunion without a Talent Show? My cousin CJ brought all this equipment up and put together a family band. Josh played the Electric guitar, Anna is on the drums, CJ is on acoustic guitar, Lincoln is on the bass. Jacie Lynn took vocals. They sounded really good for just 1 day of practice.

This is CJ, he was kind of blocked in the first picture so I added this on.

Kylie sang a beautiful rendition of Twinkle, Twinkle and Fabulous from the High School Musical 2 soundtrack. She is so cute!

Josh played an excellent solo. I was impressed!

This is what Meghan thought of the talent show.

My cousin Lincoln cuddling with Meg. Him and his wife are expecting their first baby in Feb.

Sunday after breakfast we had testimony meeting and then it was time to clean up, pack the cars and head out. We put Meg in her carseat as we were loading up the car. She was trying to escape the whole time, and got pretty close. She couldn't be trusted on the ground. We laid out a blanket and put her on it and in about 10 seconds she had a pine cone in her mouth.

Laughing at us because she almost got out.
(I'm having trouble uploading pictures so I might have to do a 2nd post. I have more to share!)
