Vacation - Part 1

We just returned home from an 11 day vacation up through Utah and Idaho. We had a lot of fun, I took about 425 pictures so it has taken me a couple days to sift through them and I decided I needed to do 3 separate posts, because we had 3 destinations. It's easier for me that way to sort it all out in my head. We loaded up and left Tuesday June 30th at 5:00 a.m. with Ryleigh, Liam, Gunner, Griffin and my mom and dad. Our first destination was Provo, UT! My little sister Kristen lives there. We took a little detour in Beaver, UT to the Cheese Factory to get squeaky cheese, and it was the squeakiest cheese ever! My mom and I kept laughing every time we ate some. After being in the car for 12 hours we knew we needed to let these kids have some time to get there energy out before trying to put them to bed. Luckily the hotel had a pool, a freezing pool but a pool. The kids swam and we ordered pizza and ate it pool side and then went to bed. The next day Julie flew in to Salt Lake first thing in the morning with Gavin and Meg. Dad went to pick her up and we headed off to the park, again to let the kids burn off some energy. It was very humid and hot. It wasn't long before we decided we needed to go find a pool again. We stopped and got lunch and went back to the hotel where I went down to the pool with the older kids and Julie and Meg took naps, they had had 2 really early mornings and deserved a much needed nap. Meg slept 3 hours, Julie might have too if everyone left her alone. Once they were awake we went to try and eat at Brick Oven, which is always a family favorite, but the wait was too long for 6 little kiddos. We opted for Olive Garden. Afterwards we drove to try and find the BYU Creamery, but didn't have any luck, come to find out they had closed the one I was looking for to remodel. We really wanted some Mint Brownies, don't worry we found them on our way back thru Provo when we were headed home.

These are a bunch of random pictures from our morning at the park.

There was a girl there with this cute baby beagle. She was nice enough to let all the kids hold it.
Meghan loved him.
