Our little Summer "Getaway"

This year due to high gas prices, and a less than bulging wallet, we decided to spend our summer vacation here in town. We spent the last 4 days at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix. We had a fantastic time and really felt like we were out of town. Julie and her family came with us and we will definitely all be returning next year! We spent most of the time in our swimsuits, the water was cool and felt great! The other nice thing about being close is that we were able to find a babysitter so that the adults could go out to dinner by ourselves one of the nights. My niece Ciara came to the hotel and watched 5 of the 6 kids, we took the baby and went to dinner at the Bamboo Club. Also on Monday we took Meghan over to my sister in law Krystal's house and she kept her for the day so we could spend the day not worrying about having her out in the sun too long. The Lazy River seemed to be a favorite, except with Griffin, his favorite was the baby pool.(it was only 1 1/2 feet deep, so he could walk everywhere) One recommendation I would make if any of you should choose to go to this resort is to make sure to get water shoes for you and your children or wear your flip flops everywhere! They have pavers all over this place and they get super HOT!!!
